“When my wife and I decided to build a house in the Texas Hill Country, we were skeptical of many builders. That is to say we were extremely conscious of all the stories people tell about horrific experiences they have encountered with their general contractors. As a result we were cautious in the selection of a builder for our home. In the end, we went with Williams Homes, and I can happily tell you we were thrilled with the results.

Bo Williams struck us immediately as attentive, knowledgeable and professional. He listened to every question we had (even–we suspect—some of our more naïve queries) and always had intelligent and helpful feedback for us. Every step of the way he exhibited expertise in his field, to the point where we always felt comfortable we were getting accurate information. Moreover, he invariably showed great consideration for our feelings on such matters as the preservation of the trees on the site to the protection of our pets during construction.

We have had quite a few people visit us since we moved in –some of them experienced in construction – and without exception, visitors have been impressed with the quality of the workmanship in our home. All of the sub-contractors hired by Mr. Williams were experts in their trades. As we lived on site during the entire process, we saw firsthand on a daily basis the product of their labors, and now we have lived in the house for almost six months, we have to say we were not deceived in our observations.

Finally, it is important to note two other important points: firstly, Mr. Williams worked hard to help us stick to the budgeted mortgage we had projected, and secondly, he proved himself to be a perfectionist in his trade (he was meticulous in ensuring each detail of the operation was taken care of).

We can’t say enough about the positive experience we had with Bo Williams building our beautiful Hill Country ranch. We spent hours over many days with Bo, visiting other homes he had built, before he even knew we would select him as our builder. His patience, knowledge, questions and obvious expertise was what convinced us that he was going to be the right person for us.

Once the process began after working closely with our architect, Bo actually painted the location of the house on our elevated site, enabling us to see the planned views from each room. This attention to detail helped further convince us that we had made a good decision, and we hadn’t even started construction. Shortly after starting construction a serious health issue prevented us from getting to our home site for months. Bo kept us informed by telephone, sending frequent pictures on the computer and made us feel totally at ease that we were in good hands. Once we were able to get there frequently, we made constant selections with Bo’s help with finishes, fixtures, appliances and with complete hindsight our ranch turned out as if Bo built his own house. And this was all accomplished within our financial budget.

From start to finish Bo’s judgment in every decision (small or large) which we all made together was invaluable to the finished product. He accepts nothing but perfection. When the house was completed we said to Bo “let’s put the house on the market and sell it and build another one, because that was so much fun”.
